Surprising study by IAMAI shows more net users in Calcutta than in Bangalore and Hyderabad
A study jointly conducted by Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and IRMB International in Nov 2006 - has surprising results showing more Internet users in Kolkata (Calcutta), than in Bangalore and Hyderabad. The “I-Cube” (Internet in India) report reveals that there are approximately 10.5 lakh active users in Kolkata as compared to 9.7 lakh in Bangalore and 9.5 lakh in Hyderabad. The reports users “live users’ as its basis - defining live users as people who log on to the Internet at least once in a month. Delhi shows 18 lakh users and Mumba tops the list of Metros with 26 lakh active, reports Calcutta Telegraph.
