Yet another city centric consumer generated opinion information portal - Citipals.com has launched. The site carries information on services and businesses like restaurants, pubs, discos, health, beauty points and coffee houses has been launched with a slight twist. Manish Baldua and Ashish Baldua - Co-founders, are saying that they have a model that is different from Burrp and Mouthshut - and that their startup has the critical point whereby opinions and reviews come from a trusted network of friends and not just anyone on the website. It seems like a mashup of a Social Network and a recommendation engine. Currently they service only Mumbai and Pune, but have plans to go national.
