Google has launched Beta version of their local search engine. They seem to have integrated some parts of their search results with local review sites Burrp and Tripadvisor. This move heats up the competition with other local search engines like JustDial, Onyomo, Dwaar, Zook, Laila, Burrp and Guruji. Some industry pundits had predicted an acquisition of one or more locals to help Google get their foot in the door - but it seems they prefer to enter directly.
