Hacker breaks and posts online the email addresses and passwords of over 100 International Embassies and Governments

Over 100 embassies and government offices around the world have had their email addresses hacked by a hacker and posted on the hackers website at DerangedSecurity. Email accounts that were hacked include Indian Ambassadors to China, US, Sweden and Germany, besides officials of the National Defense Academy (NDA) and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The Indian Express has confirmed the authenticity of the hack by sending an email to one of their reps in China and access it online using that hacked info.

VCs not too happy with opportunities Internet and Mobile opportunities

Venture Intelligence has reported that Venture Capitalists in India are not too happy with the opportunities in India in the Mobile Value Added Services sector and Internet sector. BankofIndia website visitors vulnerable to browser exploit

The BankofIndia website recently suffered an exploit that dumps malware into visitors PCs through the browser. Its best not to visit the site until this has been fixed. It is believed that fully patched IE and Firefox browsers should be safe from the corrupted Bank of India website.

Times of India buys stake in TravelMasti.com

Times of India Group has acquired a stake in TravelMasti.com, an Indian travel portal that offers online hotel reservation and information. It is rumored that  TOI will give  TravelMAsti.com free ad space in exchange for the stake -  but this is not confirmed. The provision of ad space in exchange for equity is something TOI had done in the past with other startups.
